If a person cut the side marker light out on a 67 fender, is it then the same as a 68 fender? Also, what is this bracket that are on r.s. fenders? I don't know what to look for. Then could a 67 r.s. fender be used on a 68 r.s. if the side marker was cut? Thanks for any help with this matter.

Yes you can use a 67 rs fender on a 68 rs if you cut out the marker light. or you can put the rs headlight bracket in a non rs fender. When i did my 68 rs/ss I wanted G.M. fenders but you could only get one side for a 68 rs. I chose to get the 67 rs fenders and cut the holes out. Either way will work. There also might be some holes for trim on a 67 fender that is not on a 68. I remeber my bodyman saying something about them but it was about four years ago now. I hope this helps. Erik btw if you dont know, the headlight bracket is different so the headlight sets back farther to accommodate the doors

Thanks for the info 68rs/ss396. So if the fender is on the car with the r.s. grill and hide away lights, it therefore then is a r.s. fender. Is that a correct assumption? Thanks again for your help!!

I believe so. But it could have been a non rs fender with the rs headlight bracket installed. If it is done right you can not tell.
