I am lost I have fryed 4 battery's, and one alternator. I know very little about alternators, but I think that that is where the problem lies. I dont post much cause I tend to search the forms first, but I cant find a answer to this question. sooooo

OK my alternator is brand new, and has a internal regulator. I have the white wire going to the blue wire. and the other wire which is red going to the batt charging terminal. the last wire is a 4 gadge wire going from the batt charging terminal to the battery. the guys at the alternator place wired it this way a while back, and when I got my new alternator(which is the same one)I did the same thing he did. the alternator is a 120 amp and the battery is 770 cca. the alternator charged at 12 volts yesterday, and today before the a battery cell died. it was charging at 13.2 and 13.5 volts. the battery and the alternator are new. and the car died while running.

(ohh one last thing I had the battery for less then 5 days and it fried already)

Reads like you have a load on the battery/alternator all the time. You can get a test light and put it between the battery cable and battery post, only with the alternator off. Depending upon what accessory(ies) is on or not, the test light will show the current as light bulb brillance.

If the light is on brightly, then a light is on or a heavy load is applied.
If the light is dimly lit, a load is still attached
If the light is really dim, as in needing to check at night, then its probably okay.

If the light is anything more than really dim, pull fuses and disconnect electrical accessories one by one while checking light brillance after every removal. The lesser the brillance, the lesser amount of current drawn.

Modern stereo eqt & radios have memory drawing some miniscule amount of current.

You could take the car to Advance Auto and have them check the car with their equipment.
