Since you have a spark I assume its turing over. My buddies 97 SS just quit working too this month and ended up being his fuel pump took a crap. Might want to throw a guage on the fuel rail and check fuel pressure.

just put a new one in and it turns over like 3 times and wants to stop i think it could be the ign. timing. and i called a few ppl and they told me to find the stock ign. timing but i cant.

My LT1 died one day. no codes, evertyhing working, spark etc.. The rotor had gotten melted and rotated on the shaft causing the timing to be way off. Since there are no timing marks on a LT1 you can find TDC and mark it on the damper relative to something and check if it is close with a timing light.. not the most accurate but better than pulling a distributor for nothing....

well after putting the distriburtor i found out that one or the retaining bolts inside was snapped off. put the new the distribtor on it runs but it stalls when i come to a stop. i had to change a few things with lt1 edit put all that was is the injector side and the cid.

... it runs but it stalls when i come to a stop...

Does it have an automatic transmission with a lock-up torque convertor? The reason I ask is that cars with lock-up TCCs have a switch on the brake pedal to unlock the convertor when you come to a stop. Without the switch (or with a malfunctioning switch) the TCC will remain engaged while you brake and stall the motor. If you stop slowly enough, the TCC will disengage itself as the speed decreases. But sudden stops will cause a stall.
