I have a set of 235 60 R15 on the fron, with 15X7 4.5 bs ralleys. I get rubbing on the bottom of the front fenders at full lock. I have stock springs on front and rear. What would be the next smallest tire in the series that would provide me with enough clearance for no rubbing. It just barely rubs, and sometimes it doesn't rub at all. Mostly when I am turning sharp, and at anything above a crawl. I am looking for about an inch and a half of clearance, if it can be done without making the car look goofy. I have 255 60 R15 on the back on 15X7 ralleys.

I have 225/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear on mine... the fronts just barely scuff the paint on the frame at full turn,, but fenders are clear ... I'm thinking bout going with 275s on the back,, but my fronts are just perfect...hope that helps.. Jeff

I'd post a picture if I knew how...but I think the fronts are a nice size..like I say, the rear could use a bit more rubber imo

Actually, it turns out that my passenger tire sits back about an inch further than the drivers side tire. I had to put an offset shaft on that side to get alignment. I am suspecting that my subframe may be slightly tweaked (have always thought that if you read my earlier posts). It drives perfectly straight, the alignment is spot on, so I am going to drive it easy until I figure out what I am going to do. A frame shop wants serious bucks to pull it, so that is out of the question for now. For now, I am going to let it rub. I mean it just barely touches, and not all the time. I will fix it at some point. I am only goint to drive it a few more times this year.

Trying. I have the tranny laying on the floor right now. Had to put in a new converter, and replace all seals. Should be good for Monday. What is the weather looking like?

I'm assuming the tires are BFG's. I would look at 215/65's.

as far as looks go,, I put a couple pics in my sig at the bottom. My fronts are 225/60/15.......the rears are 255/60/15....the rears a bit a small I find, and I plan on going 275s just as soon as the last bit of tread is gone, lol, but anyway, that shows ya what the 225s look like on the front......Jeff

edit... oh and wheels are 15 by 6 front and 15 by 8 rear

Or, your rear sits to high creating the illusion of a small tire. Take a look at these pics to see how a 255/60/15 in the rear can fill the wheel well and not look "small"

ya, that's alot of it too......I want to go with the bigger tire anyway though..so once I switch to the 275s I'll probably sit the car down around the tires and get the stance I'm after....Jeff
