Have you decided if you are going to go primarily for wire feed with core wire with no gas or going to be using the gases with it? I haven't decided yet. I'm liking the option of going to stainless and aluminum welding with a conversion kit involved for welding aluminum. I'm kinda liking Lincoln since plenty of places here sell them so parts wont be hard to come by. Also NASCAR sticks their endorsement sticker on them.

For what it's worth, I faced the same question. Mainly I wanted to use it for body work on the Camaro, but I also wanted to to able to weld stainless and aluminum. At first, I looked at the Lincoln and I liked it fine. I also talked to our journeyman welder at work and he said Lincoln was ok but Miller was really the better machine. He pointed out that the small welders claim you can "push" aluminum wire by changing drive wheels and liners. He said this does not work very well -the wire is too soft. The wire tends to make a bird nest in the drive mechanism. Be aware also that to run aluminum on a Miller you have to use a spool gun (adds about $400). The spool gun "pulls" the wire rather than pushing it. My welder friend also said that the low-end welders (135 amp)don't really have the power to make good welds in aluminum. So, (for me) I bought the Millermatic 175 amp welder. Right now I can't justify the spool gun -so no aluminum for now. I figure if I need the spool gun later I'll buy it then. Also, I should point out that different gasses are required for stainless (tri-mix) and steel (75/25%). :D
