Thanks Brad dfootecamaro Aug 29th, 06, 07:53 PM I haven't instaled an aftermarket switch, but be sure the wires are well wraped on your backup switch. One of mine touched an exhaust pipe and grounded out causing my fuel gauge to go haywire and it drove me nuts until I saw where it had grounded out. dfootecamaro JimM Aug 29th, 06, 08:40 PM you just bolt it to the rear stop bolt, adjust it, and extend the wires... spideynut Aug 30th, 06, 10:16 PM Well went under there today for a dry fit and the word "Universal" is used very loosely. For my application. The only thing the bracket is good for is the metal Im going to need to make my own bracket. But it will fit no prob. JimM what Hurts shifter do you have? I think mine is the comp plus? ForSpeedrs Sep 3rd, 06, 10:54 AM I just installed one yesterday on a Hurst Super Shifter III, the bracket didnt initially line up, but using a washer underneath the bracket first where the stop bolt is, I was able to slide it up the slot and angle it slightly to line up perfectly with the reverse lever; tighted down on the jam nut and checked it from underneath. I also bent the bracket as close to the lever as I could by hand. Then once I engaged reverse a few times it depressed the switch and also bent it back to the point where it needed to be... wiring was pretty easy, just made a harness that went from the switch back to the original connector for the backup lights.
