I've read a lot of posts discussing the wide range of springs availible for 69s and that the 6308 seems to be the way to go for a stock ride right with a small block.
I'm running a 377 with aluminum heads, and headers verses iron heads and manifolds. The rest of the car is stock including the tires (215/65/15). Would I be correct in assuming that the difference in wieght will not change the ride hieght significantly, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 an inch? I'm looking for a ride hieght of about 25" from the ground to the wheel well.
If anyone can posts pictures of thier 69s with these springs it would be helpfull. Thanks for your help.

Here is my small block, iron headed with headers 68 running Moog 6308s. I wouldn't expect aluminum heads would affect the ride height very much (i'm guessing). I cut 1 full coil out of the furst set I had and it was too low. I'd need more backspacing to run that low.

Thanks for the pictures guys. I'm still undecided, the springs I have were in the car when I bought it. I've had them out to rebuild the front end and didn't think to measure them or look for part numbers. The ride height now isn't far off from your cars. I'll probably leave them alone, with my luck I'll change them and it will sit 2 inches higher. Thanks again.

I just rebuilt my frontend last week. I got my springs from NAPA. I have a friend who works there. I told him I wanted 6308's and he cross referenced it to a Dana number. I was a little aprehensive but put em in. I like them.

I took a 69Z coil part number from the tag on the coil, crossed it over to a Moog number using their back of the book interchange list, 6308 is moog's version of the Z/28 coil.
But if you look in the Moog parts book under "Camaro", the Z/28 is not listed, other coils are listed for other camaro models like 6 cyl, 327 or 350, 396, but they are usually too tall to make the car sit the way "we" want.

Where did you guys purchase the 6308 springs? I've looked around and all I can find that is close is the 638. Is that the same spring? Thanks

Summit sells Moog. I was lucky. A TC member gave a set to me.
