Hey, I'm gonna get the Full-Complete Floorpan for my 68, I was wondering if any of you guys who have done it can give me some advice, didnt find much in the search section....

The car is completely gutted, and subframe is off, its beening supported in the back by the rear framerails @ the shackle end, and supported in the front by the firewall corners..

The car has new rockers, and the floor is actually not that bad, but I'm going to change it all anyways, I'm going to start by cutting the floor out completely, and removing the spot welds off the rear framerails......

So do I need to brace anything? and if I do brace the car, then how do I actually get the floor into the car, cause its really big :D , I was thinking of bracing the car by the doors, but then the floor wouldnt actually fit thru...
unless I pull thru from underneath..

any suggestions, pics, would be appreciated graemlins/beers.gif

Is this a 'vert or coupe? I think you will have to brace the body somehow either way if you plan on cutting out the whole floor at once. Maybe if you jack the car up, place stands under critical points at the axle and lower arms (to keep the suspension loaded) and tack in some temporary braces (from door frames to opposite rocker and front cowl- think of an X between passenger side and driver side, then the same from rear door jamb to cowl) you can put the pan in from underneath and weld on your back (or spider around the bracing).

You do have the trans and shaft out, yes?

Member 67 Panther has posted about how he did the install here (http://www.camaros.net/cgi-bin/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=004993#000012)

Where did you get your floor from?

The car is a coupe, and I have it supported at the bottom of the "tulip panel" and on the rear frame rails beside the shackles, everything in the car is out, just a bare shell right now...

I got the piece here in Canada, local guy paid $570CDN  for it, lucky for us our tax rate is 15% The piece is made in Taiwan, but is really nice and correct..

It has the convertable bracket on it, near the rear seat. Whats this for? I'm gonna keep it, and weld it in, even though mine is a coupe.. just wondering
