I am looking to install new wheels and tires on my 69. What is the largest size I can install that will still look cool and fit without rubbing. I am building a pro-tour project 69. I have kept the stock wheel houses in the rear. I am looking to see if I can fit 17" or 18" wheels. I am leaning toward a nice set of wheels but the style I want only comes in 18". Anyone know what will fit?

Good question, I'm sure it hasn't been covered here yet! (J/K) Go have a look at the several hundred threads on the tire size topic over in the wheels and tires section :D
Wow, joined 6 years ago and only the 2nd post! Where ya been man?

I'm running 18x8 Hopsters. Use 5 inch bs front and 5.25 rear on my 69.

Can you direct me to the threads that address tires and wheels in the rear oriented towards hooking up at the track?
Can someone tell me what they've found that works best for them with a 67?
This is for hook and for tire height for better mph.
