View Full Version : Cocktail shaker question z28doug Sep 4th, 06, 10:02 PM Are the cocktail shakers made repro for a '69? Thanks Doug Vintage 68 Sep 4th, 06, 10:18 PM I did hear a rumor a while back that someone was going to repop them - but, I really think it was just that "a rumor" or maybe wishfull thinking ... You can check with Jim Dyer in Stockton, he comes across them from time to time. Heartbeat city also has them "rebuilt" (?) in some of their adds - but make sure you hand your wallet to someone else before pricing them ... Keep your eyes on the 'classified' section here, they are on there quite often  Gary Dorion Sep 5th, 06, 08:44 PM shipping is a killer at 25lbs. each. z28doug Sep 5th, 06, 10:58 PM Thanks guys, I'm looking at a car that is missing all four. The guy says it drives fine without them. How important are they? Doug Eric Kammerer Sep 5th, 06, 11:28 PM Pretty decent explanation here... http://www.chevy-camaro.com/faq/chevy-camaro-convertible-cocktail-shakers.shtm GM didn't spend one nickel more than needed to get cars to market, so if the shakers were on the car to start, they have a purpose. If the subframes are tied with weld-in connectors, they aren't as critical. |
