Hey guys I have always loved the clean crisp sound of a good set of headers and exhaust system. I have headers now but the sound is more of a louder sound not the crisp sound that I desire. Would you start with a new exhaust system or new headers, I have a sound exhaust system just not the right clean crsip sound. I have enclosed the best picture of the headers that I have now. The mufflers looks like Flow Masters but they are probally not, they do have AF on them. Where is the best place to start.

I like the cast iron manifold sound thru a good 2 1/2"duel settup
headers I recon give a 'tinny' background sound

Depending on the price you want to spend means alot. American Thunder series kits from Flowmaster sound great with excellent performance and affordabilty.
You could go with a custom bent system with an "X" pipe which is the best way to go. The flowmaster kit just gives you an "H" pipe center section, but the cross flow of a "X" pipe is truly the best.I know DR. GAS or Kooks headers makes them.
Sound also has alot to do with your heads, flow, exhaust ports etc.
