How much differance is there in the 69-70 year hugger orange and the newer hugger orange form the year 1999-2000 camaro's. I would like to paint my 68 vert hugger orange but not sure which one to use.

My 69 is painted with 99 Camaro hugger orange and it is not near as bright as the 69-60 hugger orange. It looks more like creamier or pastel orange. My car has a vinyl top and I don't think the 99 hugger orange would look that great if the roof was painted, plus I don't think balck or white stipes would llok all that great, but that just my opinion.

YUP.......99 color looks a little pinkish in comparison to the 69 color.

This is a chevelle, but you're only looking for the right color, this one here is a really nice hugger orange with lots of pictures, It's my buddies car, so I can get the paint and primer details if you like it.

Thanks guys this is what I was looking for as to the color differance. Rob do you know if the 70 chevelle was code 72 for that hugger orange?

If you are going to paint it orange use the Hugger Orange from 69 -- I painted my first 69 Camaro that color and I'm glad I did -- orange is supposed to be a bright color and should stand out and catch your eye -- I haven't seen the 69 and 99 color side by side but I would listen to the guys who have posted so far who have seen the colors
