The poly bushings come pre-assembled in their metal casing and I'm supposed to press them into the control arms, but I thought the poly grease was to prevent sqeaking between the poly bush and the metal case. Do I grease between the metal case and the control arm opening?

you will have to dis-assemble them....
lube all surfaces...
and then re-assemble and press into control arm

do i have my terms right? I thought the bushing was the Poly part? Or is the poly part an insert for the metal bushing?
Prothane (http://www.prothane.com/pages/faq.html) calls the metal part a shell so I guess the poly part is the Bushing...

how the heck do you get these things apart?
and I think the paper that came with them said they are pre-lubed... so I called Prothane, the tech guy there said to press the inner cylinder out and that will make it easier to press the bushing out. Then I could lube all the poly surfaces that will contact the metal shell. I guess I'll give it a try.

ok well it took about 2 hours, but I was able to do everything I needed to do. I did press out each bushing from the shell to grease them, that was easy with the press at the machine shop where I work, then I used some .0015" shim stock and cut two pieces to wrap the loose ball joint with, and it pressed in ok, I guess it could have gone in a little tougher, but it's in there enough that a couple hammer wacks don't move it at all.
Next were all the bushings... I had a piece of 1.5"x4"x0.5" metal to act as my brace to keep the control arm from crushing. Pressing the bushings in was a little tough to do cause sometimes the bushings would not go in straight so I had to restart a couple of times. I funny thing did happen After I pressed the first into the control arm..... the poly bushing started to slide out of the metal sleeve because of the extra poly grease I put in. I just pushing it back in by hand a couple times then it stayied.
