This is my first time to post. I have recently purchased a 1969 RS Camaro Z28 that I am restoring to orginal. Can someone tell me the original color of the hood hinges & springs? The ones I have look like they could have been cadmium plated. Thanks

Grey phosphate would be correct... Here's some previous postings on them...

Dennis is right about the hinges. The springs should be 50% gloss black if my memory is still any good.

Thanks guys . I really didn't thick cadmium or black was correct.

I believe the springs were grey phosphate, as well.
