: Brakes stay ON after fresh bleeding

Greetings all,

I need help troubleshooting a brake problem. I installed a Performance Suspension preassembled disc brake kit in front and completely rebuilt the brakes in back. This worked for awhile, but I apparently didn't tighten one of the bleeder screws all the way and thus developed air in line. I re-bled the brakes last night. The car drove fine, but after about 30 minutes the brakes started working ALL THE TIME. Once I let off the gas I can feel the car immediately slow down. Heat? Adjustment? I'm not sure what might cause this. Any ideas?

Thanks,

CraigO

I had a similar problem that was caused from the push rod into the master cylinder being too long.

Same here.Try shimming your booster away from the firewall and see if it helps. If so You may need to grind a little off your pushrod.

I had a similar problem with one of my front brakes.

After braking the front wheel was locked it was the rubber hoose
that was broken internally acting as a valve not letting the fluid get back to the
master cyl. The pressure bled off in 10-20 seconds and I could drive until the next time I needed to brake. But if yours on ALL the time its something else.

I've also had the worn out rubber hose acting as a check valve issue. Used it as an excuse to replace my entire front suspension, steering and brakes.

Wife fell for it!!!!!
