The whole wiper motor is painted black (Everything) ChevyThunder Sep 8th, 06, 04:58 PM I have seen them at the cheapest ..450.00 but usually in the 550-650 range and as high as 1,100. NOS for 1500 and up BelAirBob Sep 8th, 06, 05:12 PM DZ. Sent you a PM..:hurray: KevinW Sep 8th, 06, 07:07 PM Bob and I have been working on RS wiper motor resto parts. I have a restored motor in the basement destined for Ebay if you do not want bob's :) But the date code is wrong for your car. :( ChevyThunder Sep 8th, 06, 07:35 PM http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/ChevyThunder/Hugger%20Orange%20X33/DSC02495a.jpg KevinW Sep 8th, 06, 08:29 PM Van, I haven't forgot about you :) with the cooler weather, time to start working in the basement again :D automanZ Sep 9th, 06, 06:50 AM Are the standard wiper motors and the RS motors the same. Or is it when you add the RS headlight solenoid that it becomes an RS set up, thanks. KevinW Sep 9th, 06, 07:11 AM The addition of the RS soleniod made it a different part number in GMs parts bin, in order to tell them apart. they are basically the same motor. The motor parts also carried over to the power window motors. al8apexer Sep 9th, 06, 09:16 AM I have seen them at the cheapest ..450.00 but usually in the 550-650 range and as high as 1,100. NOS for 1500 and up except for the one I sold in August ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230012271083 the consignor was very unhappy with the price ... BelAirBob Sep 9th, 06, 09:44 AM Yeah I saw that one...it sold way too cheap IMO. Looked nice from here. automanZ Sep 9th, 06, 12:48 PM too bad I missed that one... z28doug Sep 9th, 06, 01:36 PM Are the standard wiper motors and the RS motors the same. The motor has to have the 5045605 stamped on the end to be correct for the '69 RS if your looking for numbers correct. Doug 67CamaroRS/SS Jun 7th, 07, 07:46 AM I have a 67 RS and it only has the single washer. Is this just a 69 option to which you are referring? I guess they can't be switched since the motors are shaped different. What would be the purpose for headlight squirters without the wipers to actually clean the headlight? Water/washer fluid isn't going to do much, is it? 67CamaroRS/SS Jun 7th, 07, 07:47 AM Won't it actually make it worse? The water is going to dry and leave water spots and streaks on the lens making it more gunk for the beam to go thru. smith69z Jun 7th, 07, 11:00 AM KevinW, Where is that date stamp?? click Jun 7th, 07, 11:10 AM charlie, the solenoid is a 69 only thing. 67-68 didnt have the headlight washers as an option. |
