Hi. im pretty much done with the exterior of the car now, and its time for glass/chrome. I cant seem to find anywhere that says how to install the windshield clips/chrome etc. Pictures and details would be great, thanks!

here's a picture of the front windshield clips before the molding was installed.
They fasten over top of the "rivet" looking stand-off in the pillar and roof areas.

I found that the aftermarket clips would not grab the trim piece at all. Don't waste your money on the OER parts. The little finger that the trim clips to was too short. I bought new sets, front and rear, from the local GM dealer and they worked fine. I believe they were about $0.80 each.

I agree with X33D80. Do not buy the aftermarket clips. Take a old one with you and go to a automotive glass shop or the dealer. The front and back are two different clips.

Actually, Don't give up so easily on the OER clips. All you need to do is grab the small tabs with some needle nose pliers and give them a tweak to make them stand up straighter. They work just fine.

What is that black piece running under the bottom of the windsheild?

Looks like the dash panel apron. The silver clip is one of the two windshield stops-keeps the glass from sliding down

yeah, it's the edge of the dash panel. (piece with the defroster openings, etc...)

Oh so its just paint, not some rubber piece thats needs to be installed before everything else.

I tried unsuccessfully to tweak the OER clips with a pair of pliers. My experience was that the finger wasn't long enough, so bending them didn't make the clip usable. By design they are a spring steel and don't bend very easily either.
