well I have had a miss in my car for some time now.after lot's of work and new parts, nothing.well I got a vacuum gauge and at idle I have no vacuum.the more I raise the idle the more vacuum I get.why is this?I have tried both small ports on the front of the carb and their both the same.any info would be great.thanks!

69 camaro.350 ported heads performer rpm intake,carter afb carb.I guess this would help.

sounds like you have your guage on a "ported" vacaum port.

so does this mean that there is no place on my carb to hook my vacuum up to?should I hook it directly to the intake?

if the afb's are like an edelbrock, there should be both a ported and full connection on the front of the carb, the one that's physically lower would be full.
Regardless, your guage is reading like it would on ported.
Yes, hook it to the mainfold, of the pvc port on the carb base if you have a big enough Tee.

ok,I hooked it up to my intake port behind the carb and at idle I have about 5 inches the more I rev it the more vacuum I get.so what's wrong here?
