I am 16 and when i was little thats all i wanted when i got older is a camaro. my mind was set on it and for my first car i got a 86 camaro. just one problem.... its a v6, i get good mpg but it just is not putting the Hp that i want. Grand ams are beating me, that is just not good when an AM beats a camaro. I cant aford to drop a bigger engin in it or major mods. Is there any cheap way to get some extra HP? i did a few things like a K&N, Chip, new chrome tail pipe tips haha jk, Could i get some advice??????

You could always put a bunch of stickers on it, some neon lighting, and the biggest fart can you can find ;)
Seriously though, if it is a 2.8 V-6, there isn't much you can do short of going to a bigger engine. My brother had an '85 camaro with the 2.8 and that thing was a absolute slug. It was carb'd...the EFI ones are a little better though.
Nitrous is always an option, but the 2.8's are known for having a weak bottem end in them. Nitrous might just leave you with a pile of useless parts.
I would suggest taking advantage of that fuel economy, and save your pennies and find you a V8 car. You can pick up decent early-mid 80's 3rd gens with a basic 305 for little $$$'s, and have a better base to build off of. The V8 cars usually got better suspension, brakes, cooling, etc...and swapping in a more powerful engine is a lot easier.
