I bought a cluster off ebay that was brand new in the box never opened. It came from Ricks first generation. My oil gauge was fine for a couple of weeks then all of a sudden it exploded and there was oil all inside the gauge. The oil line isnt leaking it's comming from the sodder joint inside the gauge. Has this ever happened to anyone? It sounds like a defect to me. Would oil pressure have anything to do with it? When my car is cold my pressure is around 75-80 psi. Warm driving it's at 60psi and at idle its at 25. Sodder is pretty strong, this shouldn't happen.
