Anyone ever installed one on a first gen?
I bought the one Lokar told me to buy...but I just aint seeing this to be the "bolt on" they said it was.
They said to install it between the cable that goes to my pedal, and the SSBC Force 10 rear calipers I have.
Pfffffft......
Problem I'm having is there are no pictures in the instructions from SSBC or Lokar and the written instructions are vague at best.
I can't figure out how to connect the Lokar cables to the OEM peddle cable or the SSBC calipers....am I just an idiot?
Don't answer that last question.
Help please.

I installed the Lokar kit in my 69 with a 9" ford drum setup. It was a bolt in, with the exception of the hookup to the factory cable. Instead of using the supplied clevis I just drilled the block supplied by Lokar that clamps the two braked cables and threaded onto the factory cable with a jam nut on each end. Works great....hope this helps.

That helps quite a bit actually. Thanks!!!
I assume you had to use a drill press...?
Did you still route the Right Rear cable through that bar n' hook that attaches to the subframe? Looks like that's the way to go.
Now I just need to out smart the SSBC L-bracket and clevis arrangement at the calipers. I went at it the other day and just did not see an obvious way to mount the bracket so the cable is in line with the clevis attached to the caliper arm.
Then I ran out of blood sugar, got dizzy, and called it rocket science that I'll have to try another day.

I just bolted the bracket to the inside of the left sub frame.

Thanks. That should work for me too. There will be a bit of a run of exposed cable from the bracket to the caliper clevis, but this should be OK.
I guess I'm guilty of taking the instructions that came with my SSBC kit far too literally. The instructions say to bolt the L-bracket on using one of the caliper mounting bracket bolts but don't say which one to use and as I checked off my list of multiple choice answers from those bolts, none of them looked very good...funny angles and stuff...kind of a none of the above situation. I then looked at the location that the old drum e-brake cable attached to on the frame and figured this might work, but wanted to check here first to see what others did.

Hey cjuetten,
Could you please post a pic or e-mail me one of how/ where you mounted the cable housing adjuster bracket? Also please post a pic of how your forward p-brake cable is routed.
I drilled the cable block and jam nutted it onto my forward p-brake cable end, but the forward cable is too long for me to mount the adjuster bracket to the subframe. It's looking like I'll have to mount it to my floor pan until I install my DSE subframe connectors. Then I could mount it to the driver side sf connector.
Appreciate your help, man!

Sorry about that, it's mounted about mid way on the Sub Frame Connector. Don't have any pics to post, but I routed the cable using 1/4" P clamps the type that are used for 75 ohm TV cable.
