just wondering if the upper arms can take hitting the upper bump stops when leaving the starting line,the ball joint plate is welded to both tubes but may not be designed for this,maybe more for cornering,thanx

I just ordered uppers and lowers for my 67 and was told that the stops could be replaced with adjusters and that there should be no problems in doing this.

We have a car running with these that is drag raced and they work well. We also have a GP going on them right now so you can save some money.

to answer your question, if the bump stop (poly) peice is installed in the arm, then yes it can contact the frame with the poly bump stop.

thanx for the replies folks,the stock arms my car came with are pretty beat up after many 1.31 60 footers running in SS/HA.lower ball joints and bushings practically falling out of the things upon removal.why not move on to a stronger set up??
