Just curious. My car is currently covered with DuPont etching primer and my body shop uses mostly Sherwin Williams paint. Any problems using the SW brand primers and paint over the top of the DuPont etching primer?

It shouldn't be a problem.Everyone says don't mix systems and thats good advice.But i do it all the time and have never had a problem. At my shop i get vehicles at all different stages of the resto process and sometimes its impossible to tell whats already been used on the car. So say i get one car thats in PPG DP and another that has Sherwin self etch on it, and i use Dupont. I'm sure not going to run out and buy the full line of PPG and Sherwin Prime williams products. Also to those who say the sky is going to fall if you mix systems,in the collision industry you paint over existing,paint,prime,ect.What brand is it? Does it matter,of course not.
