What's the best way to prepare a used stock aluminum bellhousing for a fresh coat of paint? My media blast cabinet isn't big enough for that part. Should I send it out to be blasted or use some kind of stripper or wire wheel?

I brought two cans on oven cleaner at the dollar store.Sprayed it let it set washed it with water hose use a wire brush and scraper.Oven cleaned it twice took it to have it rebuild and trans guy ask me what I did.Told him he said he was going to try it,Looked great and removed grease and grime and paint.
