What is the best way to lower the front about 1"? I was thoinking about cutting one coil off the springs? THANKS

You asked "Best Way" so I would go with adjustable coil over shocks. They are infinatly adjustable plus you can adjust damping to match you driving perferences and only cost about $400.

If you really meant cheapest. I would think one full coil might be too much,, so I would start out with less...you can always cut again.

Generally speaking, your car will drop about 1/8" for every inch of wire you remove. Since 1 coil has about 16" of wire, 1/2 coil removed would lower the car about 1".

Hotchkis has lowering springs (#1907F) for a '69. They're about $140. Lowers the front end and has a pretty good ride.
