Hello All,

I'm curious about a 1969 Camaro I sold several years ago before the invention of the internet. This car had a production date of 10D. I was looking at some old photos the other day. I thought this car always had a 307 w/ 2bbl carb in it. I ran into a friend's neighbor who heard me talking about this car. He told me no, that would have been a 327 in it based on a 10D trim tag and an early Norwood car with no X-code. I had no idea GM did not offer the 307 until the 01A trim tag or something like that for 1969. This car was all original. It had a Power Glide, 10 bolt w/ 3:08. Monoleaf springs and factory A/C. It also had power front drum brakes and P/S if that matters.

So my question is: If it was produced 10D with a VIN# of 124379N530XXX could that have been a 327 in the car instead of a 307?

All comments are welcome!!

Thanks!!

What's the letters at the end of the VIN number string and we will decode it for you..

Should be like "D-" for a 200hp/307 and "F-" for a 210hp/327.. Like "DC" and FJ"...
