just thought i should share a story. when i was looking for a camaro and spotted one for 5000 i went down to take a look at it. it needed alot of work and had a crappy lookin 383 in it. anyways the guy was telling us about his frend hoo had just bought an original 1969 pontiac firbird convertible for 500 from sum1 hoo had it sitting in a garage. There are a lot of cars that can still be found in garages and used as daily drivers in LA. Back to the story... the guy slyly asks if we are into muscle cars (no duh... i wouldn't be lookin at a camaro if i wasn't) so i say yes and he takes me to his backyard where i c a beautiful flawless 1968 plymouth gtx with an original numbers matching engine. It was a 440 by the way. When i asked how much he wanted he said i never really concidered selling it but call me tomorrow and we'll see. I ask if he wants i cood give him 5 grand on the spot. he started laffing and said he didn't think he wood even sell the car under 20,000. Lol i think if i had 15,000 cash he wood have taken it. How much wood this car go for?

I'm not a Mopar guy, but a 68 GTX 440 nice and numbers matching seems to sell for either side of $30K.
