I have a quick question for all you "car experts". Since I am in Montana, I will be putting my Camaro to bed for the winter - something I've never had to do before being an old Seattle boy. It is a 67 with the 327; it will be housed in an unheated building. I will disconnect the battery and put some fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank. There is no history of rodents in the building, so I should be okay that way. Anything else that I should consider? Thanks!

Put car body on jack stands. Cover with car cover and old blankets on top. Find some way to hook up heating in servere cold. Pull spark plugs, squirt Mystery oil in cly. Keep coolant in block. This is south Texas processes but I think you can apply. Why not keep in home garage? Basement?

A very simple trick. Tape baggies over the ends of both exhaust pipes. Place a baggie or trash bag over the air cleaner or carburator. On a V8 engine, there is always one cylinder that has an exhaust and intake valve open together. Air exchange up the exhausts and in and out of the carburator can dry out that one cylinder even if it is oiled. Cheap and quick.

I live in Michigan. I purchased a Car Jacket several years ago. You drive onto a plastic panel that is part of the jacket. Place a soft cover on the car. Pull the rest of the panel up and over the car. Throw a couple bags of desicant into and around the car (comes with the Jacket). Zip the jacket shut. Snap two padilocks on the zipper ends. Forget it until spring. Car comes out of the bag just like the day it went in. I wouldn't store my car any other way.
