I just got an original radiator from a friend who is doing a restomod on his son's 69 and putting in an alum. radiator.
I've cleaned it up and am going to take it to the radiator shop to be redone and painted. My question is -
I've bought a new petcock from Rick's.Does the petcock get painted gloss black like the radiator, or to be correct should it remain the gold color.

My guess is it goes black but I'm not positive. Anybody out there know for sure?

I bought a Harrison from Heartbeat City that is supposed to be 100% correct with paint and tags and the petcock is not painted. Natural brass finish.

It should be gold irridite plated and brass.
