Honestly, it looks like a prototype back from 1968 that they dug up.
I think part of the/my problem is that i wasn't around back then and thus have no connection to the 1st gen body style and absolutely no desire to own one; I didn't know what a camaro was until about 1978.
This car is very crucial for chevrolet and gm. It is make or break for the camaro forever.
Thus, i will discuss this more in depth later.

I think that is the whole point of the recreation. Because of the past and present success of the camaro, revisiting the first generation style is a wise move.
I think it looks great. I would like to see a little less plastic and a little more metal....

The problem with that is, if Ford hadn't done the retro thing with the stang, would GM be following suit?
Amazing--exactly 40 years later the exact same sht; Ford in 04 with a knockout, Gm left playing catchup. And the freakin cars even look the same as back then!!!
Are GM execs idiots?
