Can you tell what type of transmission this 68 came with from the factory by the speedometer hole in the firewall?
Does it look like the RS grommet hole is there, but covered over to you?
This is a car I am looking at as a potential purchase.

Automatics and non-Muncie 4 speed were where you have it. Muncie hole is next to the distributor.

Here you go. It is the hole above the throttle linkage hole.

is that a factory muncie firewall? where is the hole for the grommet? the grommet for the muncie reverse light switch? did 69 use this switch?

The 69 reverse light swith is on the lowwer steering column and activated by the trans back drive linkage to turn the column.

ok ok i thought so... how about a 68 muncie car? can anybody post a pic if a firewall of a 68 muncie car?

Here is a pic of my 69 L-78 M-21 Muncie Camaro firewall. Notice the speedo cable exiting the firewall just below the wiper motor.
