Hi, I dropped in a BB in my camaro and kept the powerglide trans crossmember because I was told the polymount would work without the BB crossmember. It has a muncie trans now. I have the correct BB frame mounts and motor mounts and the motor is shifted over to the passenger side a wee bit. I can only get one screw in the trans polymount. Is that normal when using the polymount? I think I may mark off and drill another hole to try and squeeze another bolt in there but it will be difficult. Just looking to see what everyone else has done if they went this route. I tried to search for this info but couldnt find a posative answer.
Thanks

I drilled new hole in my crossmember. As you note, installation of BB moves engine and trans to passenger side by about an inch, assuming you've used correct mounts. SB crossmember has mount holes in center, so you need to drill new hole(s) as necessary, or go and buy the correct BB crossmember (Rick's has them).

Thanks....I just needed to confirm that drilling the other hole was needed using the sb crossmember.

I kicked my BB and M-20's tail housing over and bolted it down to my SB crossmember by installing a bolt and such through the one pass. side hole and up into the center hole in the poly mount!!
Works fine and is fine b/c I think the newer cars only use one rear tranny mount bolt.
And my Muncie shifter work's like a charm where it's at too....

Thanks...I am eventually going to get the TKO 600 5spd kit but gotta finish the car 1st and drive the damn thing with what I have. Once I get it finished and have it on the road for a while (and get the extra $), I'll order the 5spd kit. It has its own shifted crossmember for the BB.
Thanks
