I got chance to use a Bend Pak 7000lb 4 post car lift this past weekend and that is the way to go when working or cleaning around you car. My question is how many people have these and how well do you like them. I'm very interested in getting one for myself. Where is the best place to purchase one. Thanks in advance.

I use a Superior SR-7H. It has been absolutly fantastic for 5 years. It's more expensive than most but is very stable.

There sure is a bunch of different models out there. I would like one as well. How tall does your ceiling have to be? I have seen them anywhere from $1500 to 3k. I had a rep here in TX that was suppose to be sending me a bunch of info on one. Never heard back from him...

It depends on what you use it for. 4 post are good for some stuff, But a real pain in the head for most if you are trying to work on your car. And if it doesnt have jacks you can't pull the wheels so you are back on the floor doing your brakes. If you are keeping your car on it for storage then that is the lift you want. You can't let your car sit on a 2 post for long peirods of time without the body flexing.

I have had one for about 5 or 6 years. It's great.

Ok it seems most agree that they work pretty well. Any clue where the best place to buy one would be?

I am also looking at ordering one real soon. My floor in my new shop should be done this week. I don't know about anyone else, but I am thinking I want a US made model. I am willing to pay more for a quality unit with quality welds. Rotary has been mentioned by a few of my friends as a well built piece. Looks like they are close to $4000 according to my buddy.

Yes the Bend Pak units seem not be anchored to the floor and with a caster kit you can roll them around when not in use. I like that, The one I used was anchored with 4 bolts on each post.

I have a Bend Pak 12,000 lb 4 post and just love it , it is very easy to jack up your car if you need to do brakes , I like the 4 post way better than a 2 post .

I recently installed a Direct lift pro park 9 from greg smith equipment. it's a real nice lift with lots of acccesorys included and not much money.

I bought a Pro Park 7 from Greg Smith equipment about 8 months ago. My buddy has one too. I love it.. but the linkage that opens/closes the saftey latches is cheezy. I looked at alot of others and they all seem the same. It is imported ..but within my budget. I paid $2080 delivered to my driveway. It came with casters, drip trays and a lift tray. One of the best investments I made this year. I plan on anchoring it down when I finally decide its final position. You can see it in my photobucket album below. It made doing floor and rocker replcements a joy...........(well not really a joy but easier)

If money is not an issue to you, you may want to check out all the other brands. Youll be able to see for yourself how they are constructed.

I had the same problem with the open and close latch handle. I just drilled the handle to accept a larger bolt and it's been working great ever since.

I looked at a number of lifts as I will need one soon. Sales reps are pushing pneumatic system to get away from the links/levers and problems with unlatch. Requires a small air compressor.

Anyone have one of these or any feedback on this system?

Buy a Rotary, made in USA and well worth the price. I have used many brands over the years but woudn't have anything but a Rotary. I have a 4 and 2 post and if I had to choose only one it would be the 2 post. They are much easier to use for actual work. The parking ramps are always in t he way on a 4 post even if you do use the sliding jacks to raise it off the tires.
