View Full Version : did i pay too much? my camaro loves my money Oct 2nd, 06, 03:03 PM i paid 7000 for a 1968 camaro original v8 327 car with a 350 in it right now. all lights are working and it has a new interior. Good for you man. kmarron Oct 2nd, 06, 03:11 PM I paid 10 g's for a 67 with 350 four speed, needed floors, trunk pan, wheel houses & interior but ran strong.. Had new 1/4's, rockers were solid. madmax87 Oct 2nd, 06, 03:16 PM Sounds like you stole the car. Paid $9,500 for a 69 with no drivetrain but new sheetmetal. But I did get nice set of 4 different size wheels on the car. my camaro loves my money Oct 2nd, 06, 03:22 PM how much wood this car be all fixed up i mean new paintjob and the works i am asking because i planned to buy and sell this car so i could buy a convertible in restorable shape Ryan Windham Oct 2nd, 06, 03:36 PM I have been surprised at the prices that plain jane Camaro's have been going for on ebay. I wouldn't hesitate to say that a first gen like you describe to go for at least $13k. If you were to put a big block in it, the price would probably shoot up another $2500. Just look at all of the clones and what they are going for. If you were going to keep the car for yourself I say that it doesn't matter how much it cost as long as you are pleased. I gave $3500 for my 69, you can see what it lookslike here, http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=91132 johnnysalami Oct 2nd, 06, 04:17 PM mclmm, excellent deal! the '68 coupe we are working on with original drive line and a 1969 327 has taken offers of $15k + and it is not finished. my camaro loves my money Oct 2nd, 06, 04:22 PM well i think it has a lot to do with where u r from. like im from california so the cars tend to go for a little bit lower like my dad has seen offers such as 1969 camaro z28 for 10,000 and another 1969 camaro z28 numbers matching for 10,000 but then again he didn't have money wen the deal was going on. I have seen mustang coupes here go for 500 dollars where they sell in the east coast for a lot more. MrMontana Oct 2nd, 06, 04:56 PM I paid 15,900 for mine and its an original 6 cyl camaro! Its an SS clone now.. everything is cherry.. even the undercarriage. So I think you did really good on that deal! soman Oct 2nd, 06, 05:11 PM sound like a good deal to me, but i need pictures to see show proof......
