wondering why every body wants number wheels i dont get it the numbers are under the tire right? they are lots of money for number wheels maybe iam the dummey:(

Your no dummy!!

There is a stamping on the outside by the air fill hole. It shows the application and the date the rim was made. Some of us enjoy trying to get our cars as close as we can to the way they were when they rolled off the assembly line. I am one of those people. It's just what I enjoy. Some could care less and that's fine.
For some of us the "hunt" is the most enjoyable part of the hobby.

Actually, the numbers are stamped on the outer rim by the valve stem so they are "viewable" to the perfectionist type fellows...........:D
