Trying to figure out what my rear end gear ratio is. So I jacked up the rear, when I spin one wheel the other side spins in the opposite direction.

But in almost 2 full revolutions of the tire, the driveshaft only spun about 3/4 of a revolution.

put one wheel on the ground, spin the other and count driveshaft turns. Then divide by two... or is it multiply by two? :clonk: it'll make sense when you get there

Hold one wheel perfectly still while turning the other one exactly 2 full turns. This will give your gear ratio. 3 3/4 turns of the drive shaft is a 3.73, just over 3 1/2 is a 3.55, 3 1/3 is a 3.31, just over 3 is a 3.07...
