Hello,

Can someone recommend to me good inexpensive car cover?
The car spends its life in the garage. So all I really need is somthing that fits pretty good and that will keep the dust off....

Thanks,

AutoZone sells one for around $50.00. I use it on mine, same situation.

I got a custom fit 'Tri-Guard' Camaro cover for $96 with free shipping from www.drivewerks.com. Fits like a glove. Had it for 2 years now, love it. Made by 'CoverKing'

Thanks for the help!

Does the Tri Guard have mirror pockets?

Are the Auto Zone covers ones that are model specific or are they one size fits all?

Yes, the CoverKing TriGuard has driver and passenger mirror pockets.

A 3 layer Custom Car Cover material suited for light weather conditions (perfect for occasional use or vehicles stored under a carport). Triguard is fairly soft and very compact. Do not use Triguard in harsh weather or sun. Triguard is also not suited in areas with industrial fall out (acid rain).

Triguard is a lightweight, three layer material which protects from dirt, dust, light water, bird droppings and other mild hazards. It is perfect for use in a garage or under a carport. Triguard is also treated with UV inhibitors, which helps it stand up to ultra-violet rays emitted by the sun. Although Triguard contains these UV inhibitors, it is not recommended for very sunny climates

Check Covercraft.com they have closeouts priced at about $20 including shipping. I use them on all three of my classics.

Not cheap, but good, Plushweave from California Car Covers. There is also a Stormweave.

The AZ covers are generic. They are seperated by car size only.

I have a Budge #3 on the '67 and a Budge #4 on the '69. These are light weight, good for keeping off the dust inside the garage. The #4 hangs about two inches off the floor so it covers all of the wheels. The #3 clings tighter to the car but doesn't cover the wheels completly. Either one will work.

Costco had a sale on car covers a few weeks back. I'm not sure if the sale price was good at all Costcos but, they were marked down to $29 for all sizes. I bought 3 mediums at that price. They might still have some in stock depending on your location.

I have had 3 of the California Car covers. I have had the stormweave & plushweave. They will start breaking down after a few washings and the elastic starts to stretch. I just washed mine and when I went to take it off it had all kinds of dust fabrics on the car. My buddy has the best one that California Car cover sells and it does not shed but is expensive. Hell the ones I bought are expensive. I was at Big Lots and bought some " C " size car covers for $15.00. They are made by Purists. I figured they would work over my expensive cover.

Which California cover did your buddy buy? Most of the ones I got were in the $150 range. The last one I got for my Trifive, fit well but left a paper fuzz. Noah fabric. I still like the cotton twill the best, Washed many times and got caught in rainstorms, 20 years later its still in one piece .

I believe he has the custom weave. I believe your better off with the cotton ones also. His has a cotton inner fabric and a vinyl type on the outside. It is about 10 years old. I dont know if they still make them.

Sounds like the California cover style. Thats the one I like , with the inner liner.
