I am in the process of restoring my 72 Camaro and was wondering if a SB Victor Jr. with a 1" spacer and a drop base air cleaner would fit under a 2" steel cowl hood. I have had bad luck in finding a fiberglass cowl hood that would fit without cutting it up. The glass hood that I have tried had a 3 1/2" cowl with plenty of clearance, but it hit the raditor support and did not sit flat on the hood hinges. It was an Unlimited Products hood, I have not tried a Harwood. Has anyone out there had this trouble before??? I am thinking of getting a Goodmark Industries steel cowl hood.

I have a 72 camaro with a weiand intake that sits about 1 1/2 inches high with a 1 inch spacer and air cleaner. the hood is stock and clears the aircleaner by no more than 1/8 of an inch!
Im glad to see another '72 restored. Good luck with your resto!!

I have a goodmark steel cowl hood on my 71 camaro.I have a big block with a dart intake and K&N air filter and it won't fit.I was wondering about the quality of the glass hoods and the fit.I my section my steel hood and raise it the required amount.I think your combo would fit under the goodmark hood.
