In the new Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine they claim Starting next month they
will have celebrities writing a column for the magazine. They plan to have
Don Garlits, Shirley Muldowney, Don Prudhomme, and Joel Rosen of Motion Performance
Sounds like it should be interesting reading as they each have over 40 years experience in racing and high performance cars.

Hope Shirley will not still be complaining about being pushed out of NHRA T/fuel classes.

Any word on Marty Shorr's New Motion book with old Motion photographs that were never published back then? I talked to Marty back in I believe April of 2002 and he told me about the New Motion book he was in the process of writing with old photo's from back in the original Motion days....

They are still working on the book. I asked Marty and Joel about it at Carlisle where they were with the new Motion Camaro display.
picked up a cool Motion hat and had them both sign it.

I have Marty Schorrs first book called " Quicksilver Supercar Series Chevrolet The Performance Years copyright 1982 so I wanted to get his new book which he told me about in 2002.The first book seems to be about 75% pictures of cars too! Did Marty give you a completion date on his New Book! Dan

He couldn't give me a date that it will be done.
I was at Joel’s house in NY (before he moved to fl) and he showed me some of the old pictures. I recognized some from old B&W magazines articles but Joel’s original pictures were in color and he has some that were never in the magazines. He had some that owners sent to him after they bought the cars. They have a lot of pictures so the book should be good .
I hope they get it done soon.
