I recently purchased a pair of MOOG #6312 front springs for my 69 Z28 Camaro.
I want to do the rebuild right the first time and a bit confused as to the correct, BEST, spring for my application.
The correct spring for my Z is the "YF" coded spring and not sure if the 6312 is the proper replacement spring.
I have read of the MOOG #6308 being used, thankyou Jim.
I would be real interested in hearing testimonials from others who have tried the #6308 spring and curious on the final front heigth. I understand the 6308 may lower the car by an inch and that would be fine. I DO NOT want the car to be higher then stock.
I see three springs offered by GM back in 69 and seems the YF is the correct.
I welcome your comments on the 6308 and 6312 MOOG spring.
How did the #6312 work out for you ? Does the 6312 preserve the proper ride heigth ?
Those who have tried the #6308, How did it all turn out for you.
I DID POST THIS SAME MESSAGE ON THE "BRAKE AND SUSPENSION" Forum, but have heard no comments as of yet. So, thought I best put it to general search.
Can anyone provide me with the spring rating specs for the three coil springs offered in 69 for the Z28. I have the "YF" springs currently.
Goal is replacement with proper lift. I also wish to stiffen it up a bit as well. Another member supplied me some info on his experiences with the MOOG 6308 and would like to hear from others who have done the spring over haul.
THANKS MUCH
