I was really bummed today, I wanted to take out the '67 for a nice fall ride (we've had so much rain the last few weeks, I haven't had the car out since early August!).

Anyway, unbeknowst to me, my clutch had frozen in the new TKO 600 and I couldn't get it into any gear. Fearing the worst, I called Classic Chevy 5 speed. Scott told me to contact Jim and I left a message for him... he called me back shortly thereafter. Jim asked a few questions and had me start the car in reverse to break it free. Next thing I know, everything is back to normal and I got a mini cruise in afterall!

Thanks again for the good service.

John

I'm jealous. I just got my new 410 but McLeod is backordered on bellhousings!

Glad you got a cruise in, John.

Glad you got a cruise in John! Funny thing is, I had the same happen to me a while back after the car sat for a 2-3 weeks. Started it in gear, hit the gas and brake at the same time and it broke free. All is good now but I thought this usually happens after a LONG period of sitting around.

Hey Rick any #'s on the 410 yet?

Not yet - it's sitting on my garage floor until I get the bellhousing. Good opportunity to paint the engine compartment!

Your welcome. Glad to hear you got it free. High humidity and dampness can cause the clutch to stick. I've seen the disc ripped to pieces because of this. Best thing to do is start the car about once a week when the weather is humid or damp and work the clutch a little. Not much more that you can do.

Thanks again, I'll keep on it...
