7L1272XX VI2I0MV
I can provode the last 2 numbers of the vin if someones interested. I ran some of the #'s on it, it seems to be ment for a 67 SS 350 A/T. More info to come........

I'm interested. I have the same car you started with; Engine and transmission replaced in the mid 80's. Your block is from a car about 4000 units older than my car. Flint produced it about 3 weeks before my car was built. When you do get a look at it, could you verify that there is no "1" or "I" preceeding the 7 in "7L1272XX"? If there isn't, my number study is wrong.
pdq67 Oct 7th, 06, 09:33 AM Mine's 96xx so is that much closer to a January, '67 car than yours.
I don't care about numbers or letters, b/c I just want to be able to use my original no-hole chrome valve covers on another 350 motor if I should ever get around to making one. Heck, I still have to put together another old junk301 type motor just for the fun of it..
PM me about how much you want for it.
Only problem is shipping fees from the west coast to central MO will be a LOT!
Thanks,
pdq67

I'd be interested in a picture of the engine pad. Using the macro button (little flower) will help get a close-up picture.
Thanks!
JimM Oct 7th, 06, 05:37 PM haha, you guys...
Lets give THE car a few weeks or so to show up?
jay'srs/ss Oct 11th, 06, 10:26 PM Some more #'s for you guys:
On the left side of the rear of the block at the top says LS6 or L56.
Then below that it says: 944
Below that: H25HB657
The short block is assembled with crank, pistons, rods, & cam. I have the cam pulled, if someone could tell me what #'s to get off of that i will.

Ok bottom line, what are you asking for the block? Based on the casting date which I believe is L56, this would be a December 5, 1966 date. Which would be for an early 67 Camaro, January, February maybe early March build date.
