I am about to have my stock 8.2 10 bolt rebuilt in my 69 Camaro and have not decided on what brand posi unit to use or what brand gears to use? What would someone recommend and what did you think of the quality and strength of the parts? I know that the 8.2 is not the strongest rearend out there, but I want to keep the stock 8.2. Thanks

My vote is for an Eaton posi and a 3.55 or 3.73 gear. What engine and transmission do you have ? What is the cars purpose ? We need to know more ! What is your cams power range ? What size rear tires do you have ?

Mainly it will be a street car with an occasional drag strip run. 400 HP 400 TQ 350 SB with TKO600. 255/45/17 rear tire. I will be using 3.73 gears.

The Eaton posi is the best, and well worth the extra money over the Auburn. As for the gears, they are all about equal as far as I can tell.
