Will you please verify whether the trim tag on my '69 Z28 is authentic? I have the POP and have contacted the original purchaser of the car from the info on it. From information I got here, I have verified that the date codes stamped on the transmission and rear end are within two weeks of its production date and the partial VIN# on the transmission matches. The block has been decked and so far, I have been unable to find any numbers near the oil filter. The ivory interior is original to the car but the exterior color was changed from burgandy/white vinyl top to red/white vinyl top. The engine has a Demon carb, Dougs headers and some chrome for the car shows but all of the original parts that were removed came with the car. I am its third owner.

This site and its members offer a wealth of information and thanks to you, I've been able to get the answers to a lot of questions I had. Thanks for the info and for your opinion of the tag. :)

Even with the other changes done to the car, you can sleep well knowing it's an original tag.

I havent seen too many burgundy with white top z/28's out there. Looks good in Hugger Orange also.
