Anyone know what color the distributor cap would have been for a 67 350RSSS originally? I thought they were black and gray, but can't seem to find a repro that isn't all black. Mine is blue.

The distributor cap for 67 & 68 V8's are black.
The top should read: "Delco Remy Patent Pending" --- an "R" was added to the script in 1969.
No other colors were used, except for brown, which was only used on the TI cars.

The "no R" caps used to bring big bucks on eBay until a dead-accurate reproduction hit the market about three months ago for $69.95; the midyear Corvette resto parts houses have them. :thumbsup:

The reproductions are not "dead on".
Easy to tell the difference, the script is too thin, and not as pronounced..

Plastic is thinner also.
Like any repro, you can pick them out with no problem.

Yup, I know, but they're pretty close (and they're improving the mold).
