You are right suply and demand. I am trying to get some NOS stuff for my 67 and had to pay $325.00 for a window felt. It killed me but I had to have it.

its crazy but thats just the market. its good and bad though.. in a way it keeps the people away from these cars who would just treat them like crap but at the same time it sucks because the people who would live for them cant afford them.

Key words..........I had to have it.

You and a dozen other people, If only 2 people needed it, it would have sold for $32.50. :D

Only parts that are rare and desireable bring the really big money.
On ebay, the market sets the price, not the seller.
I would think someone with 7 Camaro's semi full of parts would be happy with prices going higher. Even better if you had 7 Semi trucks full of Camaro parts and 10 that ran...

blame cable tv and internet with all the classic car programs, and auction shows and sites. more people wanting classic cars and not to many cars to go around plus inflation equals higher prices.
just my 2 cents.

Yep sign of the time m8....Im the same here, thu not camaro...Jowett Bradford parts.
Our Jowett club has 2 40' containers full of 2nd hand parts, these the members add to and if a member wants something they make a nomial donation. Sort of like u and your friends...If a member wants something from my opersonal store shed, and I dont need it, I simply let them have it, from a dizzy to a door.
Works well.
The club also has a supply of new parts, clutches/brake linings pistion etc. These are purchased at cost plus a little bit, 9 times out of 10 cheaper than the market. Again works well.

Basically over the yrs the club now has a monopoly on parts, and will only sell/supply to members. A non member has to join the club if they need something they cant get elseware....
Occassionally a 'new' member will just have a 1 yrs subscription, but usually they renew and join up...works well.

Im old fashioned like u, just cause the rat race goes in a certain direction, it doesnt mean we have to join it or compromise our ethics.

A little story of what the club is like...
About a yr ago a yard find came up on 'trademe'...like your ebay in the states.
I won the bid at a very low price, the rest of the members knew it was I bidding and didnt bid.
I had organised a time to pick up a couple weeks later, but work got full on and didt have time to organise transport etc. I didnt tell anyone in the club.
It was thrusday, and the day of p8ickup was Sunday, coming home from work I intended to put off for another week. Instead when I got home I had a email from the guys in the club..
Went like this..
"meet Kens at 7am, boys day out, Ken will use his 4x4, transport trailer organised, can u get hold down straps and winch to pull up onto trailer?"
I simply replied "yes, thanks"
Kens place is about an hr drive on the other side of town, getting there, I find that there are 5 members ready to go.
The yard find was on the other side of a city 2 to 3 hrs away.
Stopped for breakfast on the way, loaded the find and parts, returned home.
While unstacking parts, couple guys found stuff they needed, so they just took what they NEEDED. No problems, I thru Ken a few bucks for gas.
A bloody good day out.
Thats old fashioned, thats a great bunch of guys.
The Jowett club isa loose association internationally, close knit, and recorded as oldest car club in the world.

I had to 'google' that one - http://www.practicalclassics.co.uk/vehicle/by-id/582/
Produced in about the same numbers as '69 Z-28's - you guys have problems with clones too ...
Kinda cute - that thing got a Hemi in it :D
