i have a 91 camaro with a seized engine that i bought for a few hundred...its got the stock 305 and i would really like to know what engines i could swap with it...and still keep all the nice things...like air conditioning...thanks

Any small block Chevy would work, preferably a 327, 350, or even 383 if you are really looking for performance. Other than some minor issues with the exhaust manifolds, I think everything else would be a direct bolt up. If your car is computerized, you may also need to get a different chip to make it work the way you want it to.......KZ

but what year engine...does it matter..im kinda knew to the engine swap deal

I think you would be better off using a post '86 engine...that way you keep the 1 piece rear main seal and the dipstick is on the same side as what you have now...this way you can re-use most of the stuff off of the dead 305. You can certainly get around these issues, but this would be the easiest way.

would i have to ditch my fuel injection parts (if i have them..i havent even looked yet) if i got an 86 engine?and does anyone know what i would have to modify?
