View Full Version : Just want to say Hello ! Very Happy 1st Gen Owner here
RobSS1113 Oct 10th, 06, 04:29 PM Hey guys I just want to say hello . this is my first post im new to this site, but not new to Camaros. I was refered here by a friend " BonzoHansen " member here. I just recently purchased my Camaro that I have been wanting for a Really long time. Im a die hard camaro fan . I've been looking for a 67 Camaro , it had to be a 67 RS, sure i would of settled for plain 67 or a 68 or maybe a 69 , but it was something about the 67 RS I liked so much .. maybe because it was the first year , or because of the vent windows or the Aweasome Hide-a-way lights " All the Above " . Either way I found her. a 1967 Camaro RS , shes pretty , solid floors , solid trunk , small rust near the rear window bottom corner . Black interior / non A/C car , Auto.. the radio was changed to a new model but still old school style with knobs .. dash was not hacked up . That was a Relief. Came with a 454 .. im not to crazy about the 454 but it will do. Bought it in my state " TX " it was a daily driver so it was tagged and inspected and still is till next year. Everything works perfectly , healights , wipers , blinkers everything. Well I just wanted to say Hello and I will be coming by here more often looking at questions and answers , and posting stuff . Take care
Rob
lets see If I can hot link a pic of my car my friend put on his blog.
oh I have to add ... The man was very cool and gave me alot of extra parts, extra gear box , mirrors , rear spoiler , Misc nuts and bolts , a 200 dollar car cover . alot more stuff. I had my girlfriends brother in law tell me that "I paid to much " , I wanted to B Slap him . I told him "you dont know what your talking about" . I paid 8K for her.

chuck69ss Oct 11th, 06, 08:28 AM Welcome!
Nice car! $8K sounds very reasonable in the current market. Spend some time searching the forums and you may be surprised at the amount of 'valuable' information you'll find. The folks here are very helpful as well.
How about some more pics????
69camarofast Oct 11th, 06, 10:43 AM Welcome..that Camaro looks clean!...if you can,keep us up to date with Pics.. ..
MrDanB Oct 11th, 06, 05:58 PM Welcome to TC!! Good find for 8k. They're not getting any cheaper, that's for sure... One cool thing you can do here is post some numbers and the guys will help ya get her decoded ;) And yes, the comraderie about the different years is all in fun:thumbsup: (except chris wilcox...He still thinks they only made the Camaro in 1967. We let him think that 'cause he gets cranky of you accidentally mention 68 or 69 :) )
Dano

You do NOT wanna get Mr. Wilcox cranky, that is veryvery bad.
And Dano, it's Christopher, not Chris, as he pointed out to me once, and I bet he's now cranky!!
RobSS1113 Oct 13th, 06, 09:36 PM Ok guys you wanted to see more pics . I got alot more but I just uploaded 4 ........ I have the trim pieces that go on the bottom fenders they are just not on in the picture and I also have the front spoiler , but I had to take it off because it was hitting when I was loading the car up . Enjoy on the pics , and any other info you guys wanna share with me would be Great ! I did not get a shot of the seats but the rear are original and the front seats are out of a 78 Camaro " Blah " wish I had the originals.
Rob.
p.s. the very first thing I did was take off all that blue tubbing in the Engine.

clwilcox33 Oct 16th, 06, 12:19 AM Hey! How did I miss all of this nonsense? Guess I've been sleeping on the job. Dano's had a few too many beers again I see.
BPOS Oct 16th, 06, 11:58 AM Welcome, and nice find.
I agree with the others - '67 makes a nice starter Camaro. ;) Hopefully you can turn a nice profit on it and work your way up to the most desirable muscle car on the planet - a '69 Camaro.
OK - I'm just kidding. I like 'em all. good luck with it!
HwyStarJoe Oct 16th, 06, 05:38 PM Bonzo referred you? Bonzo who? Never heard of this Bonzo person before.
;)
Nice score on the Camaro. And welcome to Team Camaro!
Oh and Mr. Wilcox sir? Sorry for calling you Chris before.
mbmmca Oct 17th, 06, 05:31 AM Nice car....welcome from MI :waving:
mstehle Oct 20th, 06, 03:51 AM 67, 69, 67, 69. All you guys forget about the OTHER 1st gen car (ahem, perhaps the best of all)? Man, it's tough being the middle child. The older ones always want to prove their the best, and the younger ones always want all the attention. Meanwhile the middle child quietly goes about being remarkable and no one notices. No big ego, no flashy oh look at me, look at me. Just outstanding performance and no one notices. Maybe now you understand why we're in therapy all the time. :clonk:
Welcome to the site and great find on the 67 RS. The guys here have all been great and so willing to help.
Mark
1969 Camaro Dude Jan 11th, 07, 04:35 AM Welcome
