The "r" is going to be an "A,B,C,D,or E". I assumed it was a C in the below decode. 1 = Chevrolet 2 = Camaro 4 = 8-cylinder engine 37 = coupe body 7 = 1967 model year L = Los Angeles, CA assembly plant (Van Nuys) 107463 = vehicle serial number sequence Decode for body number: 004523 10C = Built the Third week of October. 67-12437 = Standard Interior Coupe. LOS = Built in Van Nuys California. 709 = Standard Gold Bucket Seats. Z = (A50) Strato Bucket Seats (without headrests). C-C = Car Color is Ermine White 1403 = internal plant scheduling code. Options: 1E = (A01) Tinted All Glass thorpe67RS Oct 11th, 06, 07:41 AM That is one of the lowest optioned cars ive ever seen. But it is an 8 cylinder car not a 6 as Chris put in his decode..think he just misread the VIN. Scott Taylor Oct 11th, 06, 09:16 AM That brings up an interesting question; what can be extrapolated from the option list? I'm guessing here but: 3 speed (column shift?) Radio Delete plate Dog dishes Anything else? thewebb1 Oct 11th, 06, 07:37 PM Thorpe67RS check out my parts car 04DG 67-12437NOR112621 709-Z GG From what I understand this car has NO options!!:) thorpe67RS Oct 11th, 06, 07:40 PM Thorpe67RS check out my parts car 04DG 67-12437NOR112621 709-Z GG From what I understand this car has NO options!!:) Ok, THATS the lowest optioned car ive ever seen. :) I dont recall seeing, prior to this post, a 67 with only one option on the tag. I know ive never seen one with 0 options. But i guess i cant say that anymore. Vintage 68 Oct 11th, 06, 07:47 PM Radio Delete plate ... Or - 'No Radio Option' plate would be more correct ;) I did see an L-6 base convertible years ago with no (nada. zip, nuttin ...) options on the cowl tag. Red on Red, base six, three-on-the-tree and manual top - and yes, Dog-Dish caps on tiny little wheels/tires - the whole thing looked wierd ... |
