I have restored a 69 convertable. I cant find information on the location of the shims that hold the door from sagging when it is shut. Can anyone send me a pix of the shim location on thier car?

You're new here so first off - Welcome to Team Camaro :hurray:

Most of the questions you may have have been answered (over and over and over again) in the past - so the search function on this site is able to provide you with most any common answer you may have while working on your car.
A quick search turned up this past post with the exact information you need - http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=53367&highlight=door+shim

We welcome new questions and new information, but doing a little homework may be faster for you.

Thank you in advance for filling out your profile with location
This makes it easier for local members to know where you are and they may even offer assistance if you need - many of the local guys around me regularly meet-up at shows, swap meets and even just to take the wives out to dinner so they can talk about us behind our backs ;)

hmmm, valpo, almost in the neighborhood. A bunch of us are going to Byron dragway on the 21st to have some fun, hit the link in my sig for details, it'd be about a 2 1/2 hour run for you, traffic permitting.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Mine are gone on the '67 I just got. Recommendations?

Also the doors on this car stick a bit, especially the driver side - any advice there.

Finally I will be putting the Hotchkiss subframe connectors on this car fairly soon. What I am wondering is should I also add the additional support of the Hotchkis 'X' brace. It looks a lot more beefy than stock.

Thanks!

If the doors stick because the car is "off" then perhaps the SFC's will help, or re-align the doors at the hinges.

If the panel alignment is ok, you can just loosen and adjust the striker bolts in the doorjams.
